Be prepared to experience some plant magic as you learn to dye cloth with indigo leaves and marigolds transforming your material into beautiful shades of blues and yellows. You will also be learning to create patterns with simple tie and resist techniques.

Each participant will receive 1 cotton and 1 silk bandana. A limited amount of additional small fabric items will be available for purchase. Please do NOT bring your own items to dye.

*Your payment helps enable residents of the adjacent Bell Shelter to attend these workshops free of charge.

About Lori Beilby:

Lori Beilby, @sew_small, is a fourth generation seamstress and lover of all things fiber. She combats fast fashion by creating responsibly and finely crafted clothing and bags. Lori began a natural dye practice as a way to hand dye many of the fabrics she incorporates into her projects. For her dyes, she uses plants that are grown in her yard or locally foraged. Lori is thrilled to be sharing some of the knowledge she has gathered a GrowGood farm.
