GrowGood, Inc., a Los Angeles based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is working in partnership with the Salvation Army's Bell Homeless Shelter, to transform the 1.5-acre parcel of land adjacent to the Shelter into a small farm. The purpose of the farm is to provide the Shelter's kitchen with substantial quantities of fresh, organic fruits and vegetables as well as therapeutic and job training opportunities for the Shelter’s residents, many of whom are veterans.
